Dear Parent/carer
We hope this message finds you and your family well?
Firstly we would like to thank you for your patience with the Club as we move into another phase during this pandemic.
Over the last week we have had many discussions and have formulated a plan of action for resuming some form of training in line with both the FA guidelines and the guidelines sent to us from our local Cheshire FA.
As a result of these discussions the Club have decided that the earliest start date for restarting some training sessions will be Wednesday 24th June, but we have to stress that this can be subject to change.
This decision has been made considering the information from the FA, Public Health information for the region and the decision by Tameside Council to delay its wider opening of schools until Monday 22nd June.
The date will allow for guidance and procedures to be put together, insurance arrangements, PPE ordering and training, session planning and risk assessments for Astley Sports Village and our coaches, parents/carers and children to be written and distributed.
Parents/carers and children will have to read and agree to these guidelines when they are confirmed next week.
As a Club we do not want to put any pressure on our coaches or parents/carers in returning to training at this time. You may find that there is not a training session taking part for your child’s age group. Please understand and be mindful of an individual’s wish not to attend or run training sessions.
We appreciate that this news will cause different reactions between parents/carers children and coaches. Many of you will be disappointed, some anxious about going back, some won’t want to return and some of you may even be frustrated about this decision. We thank you for your understanding during these unprecedented times
Yours in Football
Nick Hartigan and the Dukinfield tigers Committee
